Thoughts from Sunday, April 16, 2017

Over the recent Easter holiday, I heard several people say, "Happy Resurrection Day".  It was not just the folks at church but even some on television called it that as well.  Not that there is anything wrong with calling it Easter, perhaps "Happy Resurrection" is a more suitable description.  I know there may be some who would say that there is simply no way that Jesus physically rose from the dead.  No matter what the witnesses accounts may say or how numerous they may be(at least 500), it is impossible to believe that Jesus rose bodily from the grave.  Even though there has never been any evidence provided to dispute the Resurrection and many who set out to do so often find themselves placing their faith in Jesus.  I'm not sure, but I guess some people find it easier to believe a mystical bunny hops around all over the world and lays eggs (FYI bunnies don't lay eggs) many of which are plastic, filled with candy and money.  As interesting as this sounds, I'm going to continue to place my faith in a Resurrected Jesus.
